This wine is the wine!
With freshness, flavour and zing,
It will help you win friends,
It’ll refresh and delight.

The style is unique,
The experience sublime
… make it your choice, darling!

Of the many things that make Darling famous (other than its fabulous name, of course!), flowers have been around the longest. The region is home to a claimed 1000 species of indigenous flowering plants, which are showcased during Darling’s annual Wildflower Show (14 – 16 September).

As Biodiversity Champions we are custodians of large tracts of pristine natural vegetation; the habitat of Darling’s unique flora.

We are delighted, therefore, to announce the release of a new wine from Cloof – Daisy Darling, a 2007 vintage blend of Chenin Blanc (60%) and Sauvignon Blanc (40%).

The Chenin Blanc grapes came from our unirrigated bush vines (some of them were planted in 1966!), while the Sauvignon Blanc grapes were from a southerly-facing vineyard on Burghers Post.

It’s an ideal blend, because the trademark zippiness of the sauvignon blanc complements the intense fruitiness of the chenin blanc.
