As befits a wine of its deliciousness the ‘siperazzi’ have been hot on the trail of Daisy Darling. Writing in The Argus (The Good Weekend supplement) on 6 October, Myrna Robins commented:
“… the better [white] blends are brilliant wines, presenting more than the sum of their parts. They make both good aperitifs and partner a range of dishes companionably well.
“Cloof cellar near Darling has developed a great reputation for fabulous al fresco Sunday fare along with its award-winning wines. Latest fun label to emerge from this winery is a moreish blend of chenin and sauvignon blanc, dubbed, appropriately, Daisy Darling. For R30 you could hardly do better than this zesty summer blend to partner the sounds emanating from the Rocking the Daisies festival being held there this weekend.”
