“Putting it on the lips”
The world of wine marketing has changed somewhat since the days when Capetonians used to queue outside the gates of Groot Constantia waiting for the annual release of their red wines. These days there are even highly respected university courses on the subject. But, no matter how sophisticated the chicanery employed by the marketers, one of the most important parts of the process is to make it possible for consumers (real, live people; not numbers on a spreadsheet) to taste the wine.
We realise we’re at risk of developing something of a reputation when comes to matters of the flesh, but his phrase is so beautifully descriptive that we couldn’t resist repeating it.
We understand that few people can find the time to visit us in Darling (not to mention the fact that driving the length of our dusty road will cost a 4x4 driver a significant part of a bottle of wine). So, we’re offering a free tasting pack (well, with a couple of strings attached) of our wines, which we’ll deliver to you. You can then host a wine tasting (perhaps you could even get the guests to pay, and donate the cash to your favourite charity).
The Strings?
As much as our egos are stroked by positive comments about our wines we are unfortunately compelled to sell some of it. So, the tasting pack is free on condition that after your private wine tasting we receive an order to the value of at least R2000. However, we’re offering a 10% discount on these orders, so there’s a real incentive for your friends to act immediately.
The Tasting Pack?
The tasting pack comprises one bottle of each of the following:

The usual selling price is R449, but for the purposes of this exercise we’ve reduced it to R349.
How to order?
You can order the tasting pack via our website (follow the instructions from the Buy Wine menu choice). You would then have a credit of R349 against the orders that follow from your tasting.
