Barely a day goes by without the price of oil hitting a yet higher record price, as inflation races ever upwards (although Zimbabwe’s inflation rate stands well apart from all others!).

In the midst of all this gloom stands a pillar of value, an icon of thrift, a wine of such concentration and complexity that it could be selling for more than its usual R45. At a time when high prices are threatening to suck all the pleasure out of life, we have a hedonistic wine with “curves where others don’t have places”. Yes, it’s none other than The Dark Side Cabernet/Shiraz.

We realise that Tito needs all the help he can get in his fight against inflation, and we really don’t want our customers to lower their standards when it comes to the red wine they drink.
