Second weekend of October is Rocking the Daisies @ Cloof. The normally civilised, tranquil and quiet estate is transformed into a bustling, beating and bio-degradable  festival of 15 000 energized  young people partying the night (and day) away to the sounds of the best bands South Africa and the world has to offer.

The Renosterveld MTB stage race will pass through Cloof again this year. Are we going to see our very own Willem Wentzel tearing his way around the course?

Rocking the Daisies is in its 6th year and just getting better! We use only French Oak for ageing our red wines. However, we use barrels from a number of different coopers, because each cooper’s barrels has a different influence on a wine. Occasionally one can even get disharmony (for example, the wood tannins in Taransaud barrels react very badly with the fruit tannins in pinotage).

The Cloof tasting room is open between 10.00am and 4.00pm during the week, and between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Saturdays
